Meet Afton! Queen Contestant

Afton Henderson is a 17-year-old first-generation cowgirl from Clovis California, with a lifelong passion for the western way of life. She first began riding at five years old, and quickly developed a deep love for horses, and of course, going as fast as she can. As a lifetime rodeo fan, Afton has spent years immersing herself in the community through volunteer work and competing. Looking to the future, Afton plans pursue an education after graduating high school and attain a degree in equine and animal sciences. She has a long-term goal of training horses and having a family. Afton is dedicated to acting as a positive role model for youth, welcoming the next generation into the sport, and proudly promoting the values and heritage of the rodeo community.

Meet Callie! Queen Contestant

Callie Odom grew up in Tivy Valley as the oldest daughter of Cliff and Anna Odom, where ranch life, 4H and FFA shaped her work ethic and love for animals. An experienced rider, she keeps three horses and spends much of her time honing her horsemanship. Callie is equally at home in the stockyards—working at Overland Stockyards and Tulare County Stockyard consigning livestock, pushing cattle on horseback, and assisting as an auction clerk. Callie will attend Reedley College this fall to work toward an equine certification and an Ag Business degree. Her hands-on background and academic goals reflect a dedication to the ranching community and the future of agricultural stewardship. Callie looks forward to representing her roots and reconnecting with friends and neighbors at the MRA Cowboy Classic Ranch Rodeo the second weekend in September.

Meet Adaline! Princess Contestant

Adaline Odom grew up in Tivy Valley as the middle daughter of Cliff and Anna Odom, where a love of animals and hands on learning became part of her everyday life. Over four years her 4 H goat project has grown into a herd of 20 goats, giving her experience in animal care, responsibility, and project management. When she isn’t tending goats, Adaline rides one of the family’s four horses, continuing to develop her horsemanship. At school she will be entering 8th grade at Fairmont Elementary, where Ag Science is her favorite subject. She spends time on the school farm, helps run the school farmers market, and participates in Sing It, a club that exposes her to a wide range of musical styles. Active, curious, and community minded, Adaline is excited to join friends and neighbors at the MRA Cowboy Classic Ranch Rodeo the second weekend in September.

Meet Addisen! Princess Contestant

Addisen Dutrow is a fourteen-year-old barrel racer, God-fearing young woman, and lover of all things rodeo. The daughter of Rob and Kaeli Dutrow, big sister to Grace, and rider of the infamous John Wayne, Addisen has found her dream and is getting the opportunity to live it. Ever since she could walk, Addisen has wanted a horse. She began riding full-time at the age of eight and started her competitive journey through the Fairmont 4-H Horse Project. However, Addisen's involvement in 4-H extends far beyond horses. She also participates in the Pygmy Goat, Dairy Goat, Boer Goat, Rabbit, and Canning projects while serving in officer positions within the club. Through 4-H, Addisen was introduced to the world of Gymkhana, where she continues to earn high-point buckles and develop her horsemanship skills. However, one event has captured her heart above all others—barrel racing. Her ultimate goal is to earn a spot on the Bobcat Rodeo Team at Montana State University. With Honor Roll grades, determination, and plenty of grit, she is working hard to make that dream a reality. As a rodeo enthusiast, Addisen regularly attends Brash Rodeo events in Montana, rode with the Visalia Rockettes during the Clovis Rodeo, and currently competes in the MRA Play Day Series and the Rockin' Wranglers Gymkhana Series. This summer, she is excited to begin her rookie year in the Double S Barrel Racing Summer Series. If Addisen could live on her horse in an arena, she would. Through rodeo, she has built lasting friendships, learned how to win with humility, and developed the grace to handle defeat. To her, rodeo—and especially rodeo royalty—represents much more than competition. It embodies patriotism, faith, family, community, hard work, and the special bond between a rider and her horse. Addisen would be honored to represent MRA Squaw Valley as the 2026 Princess and proudly uphold the traditions and values of the American cowboy way of life.

Meet Allie! Princess Contestant

Allie is 13 years old and attends Reyburn Intermediate school in Clovis. She attends Ag and FFA classes at Reyburn. She has been riding for 6 years in different styles of riding such as western, western showing and English. She has won several buckles in showing and barrels racing. A short term goal is She would like to finish training her new horse that is only 4 years old. She would like to be someone younger kids could look up to in the rodeo community. She would also like to in the future become a professional barrel racer and compete in the NFR finals.

Meet Harlan! Princess Contestant

Harlan Hudgins is a 13-year-old student, athlete, and rodeo competitor who is passionate about horses, leadership, academics, and serving her community. She competes in local gymkhanas, arena competitions, and trail events, where she continues to grow her horsemanship skills and strengthen her love for rodeo. Outside of the rodeo arena, Harlan is highly accomplished academically and works hard to maintain a 4.0 GPA. Her dedication to excellence has earned her both the Tom Flores Award and the Reagan Elementary Crystal Award. She is also an avid water polo player for Washington Academic Middle School and currently serves as her school’s ASB Vice President, demonstrating her leadership and commitment to her school and peers. Harlan dreams of building a future in politics with a background in Agricultural Economics, where she can advocate for agriculture, western heritage, and the communities that support them. Through her leadership, determination, and passion for rodeo, she hopes to inspire others to chase their goals while honoring the traditions that make the sport so special. As Mountain Rodeo Association Royalty, Harlan would proudly carry the values of rodeo beyond the arena and serve as a positive role model for the next generation.

Meet Lucy!! Princess Contestant

Lucy is 15 years old and has been riding for 10 years. She started riding at 5 years old and got her first horse at 8. She started showing soon after through 4-H and has continued to challenge her horsemanship and riding skills by competing in wester pleasure, gymkhana, and English events. Having a horse has taught Lucy to have patience and determination when things take time and effort. Lucy attends Liberty High School and will be a sophomore this upcoming year. With her school she does volleyball, track, and winter guard. She also does FFA and through her freshman year she was the greenhand vice president. Also, through FFA she participates in speaking competitions and shows lambs. She is very involved in 4-H and has been the vice president for 2 years. Through 4-H she has shown goats, pigs, and horses. Lucy has developed a great desire to be part of the rodeo community. She was first interested in being a rodeo royalty through friends that encouraged her to get involved. Her horse trainer was also a huge influence, as she has been a Rodeo Queen for three different rodeos. She hopes to influence others, especially younger girls, in the way that she was influenced by her role models.  

Lucy's experience inside and outside of school have led her to want to pursue a degree at Cal Poly in physics and be a part of the equestrian team. In everything Lucy does, she tries to do it with a positive attitude and a kind heart.

Meet Emma!! Little Miss Contestant

Emma is 9 years old and has been riding horses for about five years with her Aunt Seanna. About a year ago, Emma got her first horse, Ariel. Ariel taught her a lot, but Emma can no longer ride her because Ariel was diagnosed with head shaking syndrome. Ariel now lives in a pasture at Emma’s great-grandparents’ house.
Emma currently rides a horse named Brownie, whom she shares with her mom. In November, Emma hopes to join the California Junior Rodeo Association. She wants to compete in goat tying, barrels, and calf riding. When she grows up, Emma sees herself competing in professional rodeos. Emma is a very kind child who loves making friends with everyone she meets.

Meet Morgan!! Little Miss Contestant

Morgan, age 12, grew up in Sanger as the only daughter of Kelly and Michelle Vandergon. From an early age she has been immersed in the ranching life and 4‑H activities, developing skills in animal care and showmanship by exhibiting goats, pigs, and horses. Morgan also sews garments for her projects, combining practical skills with creativity. A recent graduate of 6th grade at Fairmont Elementary, Morgan started riding at five and continues to build her horsemanship. Outside the barn she enjoys track and dance, and she helps her mother during kidding season, gaining hands‑on experience with newborn goats. Driven, compassionate, and determined, Morgan plans to pursue a career in law so she can advocate for causes she believes in.

Meet Peyton!! Little Miss Contestant

Peyton is a driven young lady that has been a part of the horse/rodeo world since she was 5 years old. She has competed in horse shows, gymkhanas, sortings, jackpot team ropings and jr. rodeos. Her biggest goal is to go to the NFR one day for barrel racing. Peyton loves animals, especially horses. She plans to be a large animal vet when she grows up. She loves to share her knowledge of horses and rodeo with the community. Peyton is always there to lend a hand, give advice or make people laugh. She hopes that her role as Little Miss will help her to spread awareness about the importance of rodeos and the cowboy way of life.

Meet Sierra!! Little Miss Contestant

Sierra is an 11 year old student at Dunlap Elementary. She has a passion for horse riding. She has been riding since she could sit up! She was awarded tiny princess of 2021 at the Mountain Rodeo Association. She loves being a good role model and showing good sportsmanship. She respects everyone and tries to treat everybody the way she wants to be treated. She treats classmates like family and strangers like neighbors. Greeting everyone with a friendly joke a smile, or a hello. She believes she is an excellent candidate for MRA's Little Miss and is looking forward to learning and growing with new and old friends at the Mountain Rodeo Association.

Meet Savanna!! Little Miss Contestant

Savannah (Savvi) is the ambitious 12 year old daughter of Kris and Jamielyn Shwetzer. She attends Foothill Elementary as a 6th grader in Prather, CA. Her hobbies include wakeboarding and church activities. Savannah loves to compete on her horses in gymkhanas, breakaway roping, ranch riding, and running sponsor flags at rodeos. She has been riding since she was 4 years old. When Savvi is not riding or spending time with her animals, she devotes her time to the Lord, participating in bible studies, and playing a role in mentoring younger children with the church ministry. She also is a great role model to her younger sister, Heidi. She aspires to further her skills as a breakaway roper while serving as a positive ambassador for the cowgirl lifestyle. Through representing this association, she hopes to help bring the community together in the arena, where western traditions and friendship thrive. She is thankful for Jesus, her parents and ohana (family) for the love and support in her journey.

Meet Jaxlynn!! Tiny Princess Contestant

Jaxlynn age 7, is the daughter of Jeremy and Jaylene Bischel of Visalia, California. She is eagerly preparing to begin second grade at Elbow Creek Elementary. A true farm kid at heart, Jaxlynn enjoys spending her free time outdoors—tending her garden, operating her own vegetable stand, and playing alongside her siblings. From an early age Jaxlynn has always been an animal lover, but horses have always held a special place in her heart! She is quickly developing confidence in the saddle and truly loves building the coveted bond between girl and horse. Jaxlynn is excited to represent the MRA and is deeply appreciative of the support and guidance she has received along the way.
